Later, he made his collegiate debut against Arizona State, appearing mostly on special teams in goal-line situations in the Pac-12 Football Championship Game the following year (2020 Pac-12 Football Championship Game). He completed three of four throw attempts for 17 yards and two touchdowns as Oregon defeated the USC Trojans 31-24 in the Rose Bowl. In August 2021, he was chosen the starting quarterback for the Oregon Ducks, where he has played since.
