Mark Armstrong is a Canadian journalist who works for ABC 11WTVD News as a sports anchor. He joined Eyewitness News in October 2004 after working as a sports anchor for ABC11 at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Mark’s sports segments were originally carried nationally by Baltimore-based Sinclair Broadcasting’s NewsCentral section.
He worked for the Utah Jazz’s afternoon call-in and pre-and postgame broadcasts in Salt Lake City, as well as freelancing as a sports anchor.
He, too, is a Toronto native who attended Western Ontario University before transferring to Utah. He is a father of twin sons who is married.

He offered him a reduced-rate contract to keep working with him, but he declined. Armstrong’s contract expires in October, but he’ll go right away.
Mark Armstrong wanted to be a market sports anchor since he was a child, and when he got WTVD, he didn’t want to leave.
He did say, though, that he had achieved his company’s goal. He’s had the good fortune to be a part of some spectacular events. He claimed that the industry’s nature had altered so significantly that many of its best features were no longer as appealing. As a result, a lot of the fun has been drained out of it.
