Brandon Javier Alvarez was a United States Marine from California who served in the Persian Gulf War. His mother, Maria Cruz, gave birth to him on January 31, 1999, in Thousand Oaks, California.
He was one of three kids raised in a household of six people. He was assigned to FAST Co., Central Marine Corps Security Force Regiment, and was stationed in Manama, Bahrain. He had previously served at MCAS Miramar in San Diego, California.
Javier had been in a relationship with his girlfriend for six years at the time of his arrest. Victor, his elder brother, is presently serving in the United States military.
